Job Description

The successful candidate will work with Prof. Chi Chunyan on monomers and polymers under a project on "Singapore Platform for Bio-derived Specialty Polymers Research, INnovation and Translation (SG Bio-SPRINT)".

The main responsibilities of the position include:
1) Design and synthesize biomass-derived drop-in monomers;
2) Develop synthetic routes from biomass platform chemicals;
3) Synthesize biomass-derived monomers for dielectric/insulating polymers;
4) Characterize and evaluate the synthesized monomers.

• Qualifications / Discipline: The candidate should possess a PhD degree, or should have submitted his/her PhD thesis

• Skills: Organic synthesis, materials characterization

• Experience: Organic synthesis
