Research Fellow in Domain Decomposition & Multi-Scale Modelling - CNRS@CREATE/HTX

Open 29d

Summary

Research Fellow develops domain decomposition and multi-scale modeling tools for Singapore windfield prediction using CFD, machine learning, and HPC in a government-linked research collaboration.

CNRS@CREATE-HTX project in Developing Singapore Windfield Predicting Tools

Domain Decomposition & Multi-Scale Modelling Specialist

Research Fellow

The project Developing Singapore Windfield Predicting Tools is looking for a Research Fellow in Domain Decomposition & Multi-Scale Modelling. This project is a collaborative project between CNRS@CREATE and HTX.

AboutCNRS@CREATE

CNRS@CREATEis a major research enterprise established in 2019 by the French National Centre for Scientific Research (CNRS), in partnership with Singapore's National Research Foundation (NRF). It is CNRS's first overseas subsidiary and operates as part of the Campus for Research Excellence and Technological Enterprise(CREATE) in Singapore. CNRS@CREATE brings together researchers from diverse disciplines to conduct transdisciplinary research in strategic areas —including human, energy, environmental, and urban systems — with a strong focus on translating scientific results into practical applications for Singapore and beyond.

About HTX (Home Team Science and Technology Agency)

HTX is a statutory board under Singapore's Ministry of Home Affairs, and the world'sfirst agency of its kind to bring together science and engineering capabilities across the Home Team departments in a single organization. HTX develops and deploys cutting-edge technologies — spanning artificial intelligence, robotics, sensors, cybersecurity, and CBRNE (chemical, biological, radiological, nuclear, and explosives) threat detection — to strengthen Singapore's public safety and security capabilities, in close collaboration with academic and research partners such as CNRS@CREATE.

DESCRIPTION OF THE JOB POSITION

We are seeking a highly motivated Research Fellow to drive cutting-edge research as a Domain Decomposition & Multi-Scale Modelling Specialist. Applicants must hold a PhD in a relevant field and demonstrate a strong track record of publications in top-tier venues.

The Research Fellow will be:

· Expert in the modelling of large and complex computational domains through advanced domain decomposition strategies for CFD applications.

· Responsible for designing physically consistent partitioning approaches and coupling methodologies that ensure accurate representation of airflow across sub-domains.

· Contributing to the integration of multi-scaleeffects, maintaining coherence between localised urban flow features and the broader simulation domain.
