Job Description

• Conduct independent and collaborative research on the optical and photophysical characterization of emerging optoelectronic materials, including perovskites, quantum dots, organic semiconductors, two-dimensional materials, and related functional materials.
• Design and perform hyperspectral imaging, spatially resolved optical spectroscopy, and microscopy measurements to investigate light absorption and emission, charge-carrier dynamics and transport, defect states, local energetic landscapes, and spatial heterogeneity.
• Develop, optimize, and operate advanced optical characterization and hyperspectral imaging platforms.
• Analyze multidimensional spectroscopic and imaging datasets and correlate local material properties with structure and device performance.
• Prepare manuscripts for publication in high-quality scientific journals and present research findings at conferences.
• Assist in supervising graduate students and contribute to research projects, collaborations, and the development of experimental capabilities.

Qualifications

• A PhD, or a PhD expected to be awarded soon, in materials science, physics, optical engineering, electrical or electronic engineering, chemistry, nanoscience, optoelectronics, or a closely related discipline.
• Research experience in optical spectroscopy, photophysics, optical microscopy, hyperspectral imaging, or semiconductor and optoelectronic-material characterization.
• Hands-on experience with one or more relevant techniques, such as photoluminescence spectroscopy, time-resolved spectroscopy, confocal microscopy, spatially resolved optical mapping, or multidimensional imaging and spectral analysis, is preferred.
• Strong experimental, quantitative data-analysis, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to conduct research independently.
• Good written and spoken English, including the ability to prepare scientific manuscripts and communicate research findings effectively.
• A strong publication record or demonstrated potential to publish high-quality research, together with effective teamwork and interdisciplinary collaboration skills.
