The Research Financial Coordinator will work in the Office of Research and serve as the departmental accountant responsible for Research Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and analytic and financial reporting functions.

Essential Job Function

  • Works with the research teams to ensure that institutional research fees are sent to study sponsors/funders for payments.
  • Tracks and records invoiceable activities, including fees for IRB review, legal review fees, institutional administration fees, and REDCap fees.
  • Invoices the research team for the services provided by the Office of Research and submits the invoice to the sponsor for payment.
  • Reconciles payments when transferred to cost center.
  • Provides financial analysis and reporting when needed.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Education

  • Required: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or related field.


Experience

  • Required: 1 year of general accounting experience.
  • Preferred: 1 year of grant finance accounting experience.
