Research Nurse - Colbeth Child Psychiatric Clinic, College of Medicine

The Department of Psychiatry is looking for a Research Nurse to coordinate, plan and implement clinical research protocols for the UIC Clinical Services in Psychopharmacology Program researching the safety and effectiveness of psychopharmacotherapy for the treatment of emotional and behavioral disturbances of minors who are in the care of the State of Illinois. The Research Nurse will work closely with the Associate Director and the research team, in aligning the activities, goals and resources to meet study objectives and quality control. Additionally, they will work with research team to meet the contractual needs of the research and project deliverables. Further, they will assist train and manage the research staff while effectively sharing expertise with the team and contacts in the field of the studies policies and procedures and the latest research in psychopharmacological treatment of children and adolescents. Duties Responsibilities: Coordinate, plan and implement clinical research protocols for the UIC Clinical Services in Psychopharmacology Program evaluating the safety and effectiveness of psychopharmacotherapy for the treatment of emotional and behavioral disturbances of minors who in the care of the State of Illinois. Oversee the work of the research staff to help ensure the contractual needs of the research and project deliverables are met. Complete required documentation for agency partners. Work closely with the Associate Director and the research team, in aligning activities, goals and resources to meet study objectives and quality control. May assist with the study protocol development. Effectively share expertise with team and contacts in the field of studies, policies, and procedures and the latest research in Psychopharmacological treatment of children and adults. Perform other related duties and participate in special projects as assigned.
