Job Summary

The Goentoro Lab in the Division of Biology and Biological Engineering is seeking a motivated and creative individual to join as a Research Technician. The successful candidate will assist in conducting a project to test new molecules as part of an effort to develop strategies that enhance wound healing and tissue regeneration.

Essential Job Duties

• Conduct and independently execute in vivo studies using mouse models, including animal handling, monitoring, and surgical procedures.
• Perform and analyze imaging, histological, and tissue-based experiments to support research objectives.
• Execute a variety of molecular and. cellular biology techniques, including sample preparation, data collection, and analysis.
• Accurately document experimental procedures, observations, and results in accordance with established laboratory protocols.
• Analyze , interpret, and communicate experimental findings to research team members.
• Assist with troubleshooting experimental procedures and recommend solutions to technical challenges.
• Maintain laboratory equipment, supplies, and research records to support efficient laboratory operations.
• Collaborate effectively with researchers and provide support for ongoing laboratory projects and initiatives.

Basic Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Biology, Molecular Biology, Bioengineering, or related scientific discipline.
• Minimum of 2 years of relevant laboratory research experience.
• Demonstrated experience handling laboratory mice.
• Demonstrated experience performing surgical procedures.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in tissue histology.
• Experience in molecular biology assays.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
