Research Technician - GENETICS

The Research Technician will participate in cellular and mammalian specimen experiments for new treatments for inborn errors of metabolism of fatty acid oxidation disorders. Tasks will include managing a mutant mammalian specimen colony, perform mammalian specimen testing of treatment outcomes, perform eukaryotic cell culture, and perform standard protein biochemistry studies such as western blotting and enzyme assays. This position is located at UPMC Children’s Hospital of Pittsburgh in Lawrenceville. PA Child Abuse History Clearance, PA State Police Criminal Record Check, and FBI Criminal Record Check will be required prior to the start of employment.
