Reservations Agent
We are seeking a professional and customer-focused Reservations Agent to join our team in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. As a Reservations Agent, you will play a crucial role in ensuring guest satisfaction by managing bookings, providing information about our hotel services, and maximizing revenue through effective sales techniques.
- Handle incoming reservations via phone, email, and online booking systems, ensuring accuracy and timeliness
- Provide detailed information about hotel accommodations, rates, packages, and special offers to potential guests
- Utilize up-selling techniques to maximize room revenue and promote hotel services
- Enter and maintain reservation data in the property management system (PMS) with a high level of accuracy
- Follow up on guest requests and inquiries within 24 hours of receipt
- Assist with group bookings and manage allotments as directed by management
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure smooth guest experiences from reservation to check-out
- Monitor and update hotel availability to optimize occupancy rates
- Prepare daily reports on reservations, cancellations, and modifications
- Maintain knowledge of local attractions and events to assist guests with inquiries
- Adhere to hotel policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with industry standards
- Participate in regular training sessions to stay updated on new offerings and reservation techniques
- Vocational Certificate in Hotel Management, Business Administration, or Bachelor's degree in Hotel Administration, Business Administration, or equivalent
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in a similar role, or 6 months of experience in reservations or front office operations
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite and property management systems (e.g., OPERA)
- Excellent communication skills in English, both written and verbal
- Strong customer service orientation with the ability to interact professionally with guests, employees, and third parties
- Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy in data entry and information management
- Ability to multi-task and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Flexible schedule, including availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required
- Knowledge of hospitality industry standards and best practices
- Demonstrated sales skills and ability to up-sell hotel services
- Ability to remain calm and professional under pressure
