Resident Engineer (C&S)

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and supervise C&S site staff in monitoring, inspecting, and overseeing civil and structural works on site.
  • Ensure construction works comply with approved drawings, specifications, statutory requirements, and quality standards.
  • Coordinate with the Client, QP(S), QP(Geo), consultants, contractors, and stakeholders to resolve site and technical issues.
  • Oversee major building construction works, including structural steel and drainage works.
  • Monitor project progress and maintain proper site records, inspection reports, and progress reports.
  • Ensure compliance with site supervision requirements, construction procedures, and safety regulations.
  • Provide technical guidance and support to the site supervision team.

Job Requirements

  • Degree in Civil & Structural Engineering recognized by the Professional Engineers Board (PEB) Singapore.
  • Accredited with the Joint Accreditation Committee (JAC) of the Institution of Engineers Singapore (IES) and the Association of Consulting Engineers Singapore (ACES).
  • Minimum 8 years of relevant experience in civil and structural engineering, including at least 5 years of site supervision experience on projects of similar scale and complexity.
  • Experience in major building construction projects, structural steel works, and drainage works.
  • Experience in supervision of long-span steel roof structures exceeding 40m span will be an advantage.
  • Strong knowledge of statutory requirements, site supervision practices, quality control procedures, and construction administration.
  • Proven leadership and team management capabilities.
  • Strong organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills.
