Your Opportunity
An opportunity exists in Stantec's Water Sector for a highly motivated on-site Resident Engineer with civil engineering and construction experience for the construction of a new weir opening between three rivers (the Arkansas River, the White River, and the Mississippi River) to establish a stable grade for controlling flows between the White and Arkansas Rivers. The project site is located in Arkansas and Desha Counties, near Tichnor, Arkansas. This position will be based out of the project site.
Your Key Responsibilities
The successful candidate will use their civil engineering, construction management experience, and technical abilities to provide full-time onsite service to fulfill specification requirements and represent the Engineer’s interests during construction. The duties for the Resident Engineer include\:
- Interpretation of design documents
- Review of construction submittals
- Respond to Requests for Information (RFIs)
- Observance of construction activities in accordance with submittals and specifications
- Participate in project meetings
- Maintain detailed project records
- Liaison with Engineer(s) of record and the Construction Quality Assurance (CQA) Manager
- Detailed project reporting
- Development of construction record drawings and close out documentation
