Job Summary
You will use BIM software to verify structural progress onsite and ensure compliance with electrical installation codes, supervising ICT systems and site activities to maintain infrastructure integrity and safety standards.
Responsibilities
- Use software such as Revit and Navisworks to analyze BIM/drawings and verify physical structural progress onsite against approved models
- Identify and ensure compliance of service separations per CP 5 (Code of Practice for Electrical Installations), including verifying physical gaps between ICT and power trays
- Supervise ICT systems installation and general site activities to ensure adherence to design and safety standards
- Apply knowledge of ICT passive infrastructure performance to assess structural containment loading and conduct testing using OTDR/OLTS methods
- Manage Fiber/Copper cable layouts, ensuring proper cable pull tension and adherence to minimum bend radius requirements for indoor and outdoor installations
- Interpret and apply IMDA COPIF guidelines related to space dimensions, lead-in pipes, and space allocation for ICT infrastructure
Required competencies and certifications
- Minimum 10 years of relevant engineering experience, including at least 5 years supervising ICT systems and general site supervision
- Possess a Mechanical or Electrical engineering degree or equivalent
Preferred competencies and qualifications
- Good understanding of ICT passive infrastructure performance, structural containment loading, and testing methodology (OTDR/OLTS)
- Relevant experience in Fiber/Copper layout, cable pull tension, and minimum bend radius for indoor/outdoor installation
- Knowledge of IMDA COPIF guidelines including space dimensions, lead-in pipes, and space allocation
