Responsibilities
- Supervise ICT system works on-site, ensuring compliance with technical and safety standards for complex projects
- Apply expertise in ICT passive infrastructure performance to assess structural containment loading and conduct testing using OTDR/OLTS tools
- Utilize software such as Revit and Navisworks to analyze BIM models and cross-check physical structural progress against approved drawings
- Identify and enforce separation of services in accordance with CP 5 (Code of Practice for Electrical Installations), ensuring physical gaps between ICT and power trays
- Plan and oversee fiber and copper cable layouts, managing cable pull tension and minimum bend radius requirements for indoor and outdoor installations
- Implement proper installation sequences, including correct bracketry use, load rating adherence, and IP-rated weather sealing compliance
- Interpret and apply IMDA COPIF guidelines related to space dimensions, lead-in pipes, and space allocation for ICT infrastructure
Required competencies and certifications
- Minimum 10 years of relevant engineering experience, including at least 5 years supervising complex ICT system works on-site
- Mechanical or Electrical engineering degree or equivalent qualification
Preferred competencies and qualifications
- Good understanding of ICT passive infrastructure performance, structural containment loading, and testing methodologies including OTDR/OLTS
