Key Responsibilities Interfaces: Plant & Programs Support
- Act as the on‑site technical representative for all engineering topics related to the assigned products or systems.
- Support engineering teams during development, design reviews, validation, and launch activities.
- Based on a need participate in meetings with engineering, quality, purchasing, program management and provide timely feedback to your deliverables.
- Ensure technical requirements, specifications, and changes are clearly understood and communicated within the plant organization.
- Support troubleshooting of technical and quality issues at the plant site.
- Support root cause analysis (RCA), containment, and corrective action coordination in alignment with internal quality teams.
- Provide engineering support for design changes, deviations, and engineering deliverables for PPAP documentation.
- Validate product performance at the plant site (fit & function, interface checks).
- Support the plant with drawings, CAD data, specifications, and engineering documentation as needed.
- Support sample parts & pre‑production builds and line trials activities.
- Monitor product performance during builds and escalate any deviations.
- Review and support build issues, logistics issues, or packaging issues that affect product function or customer satisfaction.
- Provide regular status updates, risk assessments, and escalation of critical topics to internal leadership.
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline.
- 3–7+ years of experience in automotive engineering, preferably with a Tier‑1 supplier.
- Hands‑on experience with launch processes, validation cycles, and PPAP.
- Strong understanding of automotive interior product development, validation, and manufacturing.
- Familiarity with engineering tools: CAD (CATIA, NX, or similar), DFMEA, DVP&R.
- Knowledge of internal & OEM specific processes.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications.
- Strong communication skills; able to collaborate effectively cross functional and cross location`s teams.
- Problem-solving mindset with ability to work autonomously at plant site.
- High sense of urgency, ownership, and customer orientation.
- Ability to manage multiple topics under tight timelines.
- Based at the plant location, 5 working days per week.
- Regular interaction with engineering, quality, manufacturing, and program teams.
