Resident Physician
Summary
A licensed physician provides outpatient and inpatient clinical care, preventive health services, and chronic disease management in Singapore’s healthcare system.
Qualifications :
Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) or postgraduate medical qualification recognised by the Singapore Medical Council (SMC). Certified in Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS).
Experience :
Minimum 3 years of postgraduate clinical experience.
Experience in outpatient and/or inpatient clinical settings.
Exposure to preventive health, health screening, occupational health, vaccinations, or chronic disease follow‑up is advantageous.
Special Attributes and Knowledge :
Strong interest in preventive medicine, population health and evidence‑based screening programmes.
Competent in clinical history taking, physical examination, diagnosis formulation, management planning and follow‑up care.
Ability to apply evidence‑based clinical guidelines to determine appropriate care pathways, including step‑up or step‑down of care.
Good understanding of Singapore’s healthcare ecosystem, including community, primary and hospital care.
Effective communicator with patients and multidisciplinary healthcare teams.
Familiarity with NGEMR is an advantage.
