Resident Technical Officer
Summary
Oversee construction projects in Singapore to ensure compliance with engineering plans, safety regulations, and quality standards, acting as a liaison between engineers, contractors, and authorities.
Responsibilities
- Supervise and inspect siteworks to ensure compliance with approved drawings, specifications, and statutory requirements, ensuring project integrity and regulatory adherence
- Monitor construction progress, quality, workmanship, and site safety to maintain project standards and minimize risks
- Inspect materials and witness site inspections and testing to verify compliance with quality standards and specifications
- Review shop drawings, as-built drawings, and related project documents to confirm accuracy and alignment with project requirements
- Maintain accurate site records and progress reports to provide transparent and up-to-date project documentation
- Coordinate effectively with the Resident Engineer, contractors, consultants, and authorities to facilitate smooth project execution and communication
- Monitor defects, oversee rectification works, and manage project handover to ensure completion meets quality and contractual standards
- Perform duties of a Resident Technical Officer in accordance with the Building Control Act and relevant regulations to uphold legal and safety standards
Required competencies and certifications
- Registered Resident Technical Officer with IES/ACES
- Diploma in Civil/Structural Engineering or equivalent

- 6-day work week
- Working hours: Monday to Saturday, 8.00am to 5.00pm
