Resident Technical Officer, Mechanical / Electrical
Summary
Oversee on-site mechanical and electrical (M&E) systems for construction projects, ensuring compliance with design specs, safety, and environmental standards, with a focus on data centers or mission-critical facilities.
- Oversee mechanical and electrical works on-site, including HVAC systems, chilled water systems, power distribution, UPS, generators, and fire suppression systems.
- Ensure adherence to design specifications, local codes, and international standards.
- Conduct inspections and testing of M&E installations.
- Verify compliance with safety regulations and environmental standards.
- Liaise with project managers, consultants, and contractors to resolve technical issues.
- Provide regular progress reports and updates to stakeholders.
- Review shop drawings, material submissions, and method statements for M&E systems.
- Assist in troubleshooting and resolving system issues during construction and commissioning phases.
- Identify potential risks and propose mitigation strategies.
- Ensure timely resolution of site-related challenges.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
- 10 - 15 years of relevant experience in M&E engineering, preferably in data center or mission-critical projects.
- Strong knowledge of HVAC systems, chilled water systems, power distribution, UPS, and fire suppression systems.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management abilities.
- Familiarity with Singapore building codes and regulations.
- Registered and accredited as an M&E RTO with the Institution of Engineers Singapore (IES)/Association of Consulting Engineers Singapore (ACES) Joint Accreditation Committee (JAC)
