Resident Technical Officer (Mechanical)
Summary
Oversee on-site mechanical construction, verify contractor work, and maintain compliance with design specs for a 41-month office building project in Singapore.
Job Description
- To carry out site supervision and inspection of the works including any off-site manufacturing as instructed by the consultant team so as to ensure that the works are constructed to required quality and accuracy.
- To monitor progress of the works on site and at any off-site manufacturing facilities and report delays immediately.
- To provide standing supervision as and when directed by the consultant team.
- To maintain proper and updated daily records of all works done, including records of tests, inspections, status of works, safety, site diary, materials and equipment on site, labour, dayworks, provisional quantities etc
- To check that contractor executes preliminaries items.
- To check services routes and contractor’s setting out and report any deviations to the consultant team.
- To review all shop drawings/material submitted by contractors for compliance to with consultants’ drawing, design intent and specifications.
- To verify reports and claims submitted by contractors.
- To record all variations as instructed or approved by consultant team.
- To attend to contractor’s queries and co-ordinate works of main contractor and direct contractors.
- To inspect and take over completed works.
- To undertake any other duties related to the project as and when instructed by the consultant team.
Job requirements
- Diploma in Mechanical Engineering from a recognised tertiary institution or
- ITE Cert in Mechanical Engineering
- Minimum 10 years working experience in local projects and minimum 5 years relevant experience as RTO
- Able to start work by early Aug 2026
