Are you a natural mentor who thrives on helping others succeed? New Hampshire Job Corps is seeking a dedicated Residential Advisor (RA) to join our campus team in Manchester!

In this rewarding role, you will be the heart of our dormitory community. You will guide young adults as they navigate group living, build independent life skills, and work toward their career goals. If you have experience with youth development and want a job where you can make a daily impact, we want you on our team.


What You Will Do

  • Guide Student Growth: Provide counseling, run group sessions, and teach essential independent living skills.

  • Maintain Safety: Patrol and monitor dormitories to ensure a secure, positive living environment.

  • Resolve Challenges: Troubleshoot emerging peer issues and enforce the program’s Zero Tolerance Policy.

  • Support Health: Coordinate student needs and arrange essential counselor visits when necessary.

  • Manage Operations: Complete daily operations reports, track pass lists, and update case notes.

  • Lead Dorm Life: Supervise student cleanup, run unit government activities, and manage supply requisitions.

  • Organize Records: Maintain and update confidential student files with high accuracy.

  • Be a Role Model: Model Career Success Standards to help students build professional habits.

Qualifications & Experience

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required (Advanced degrees preferred).

  • Minimum of one (1) year of Job Corps or related youth program experience required.

  • Valid in-state Driver’s License is highly preferred.

  • Physical ability to stay active, walk dorms, and lift up to 40 pounds.

  • Ability to work directed overtime to support campus operations.
