Residential Carpet Installer
Cherry Carpet and Flooring located in Portsmouth, VA is currently seeking a Residential Carpet Installer to join its team. Residential Carpet Installers are responsible for field management and completion of flooring projects with a focus on safety, professionalism and efficiency while ensuring high quality installation and customer satisfaction.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in stretch-in carpet installation.
- Strong attention to detail and craftsmanship.
- Must have a valid driver's license and reliable transportation to travel to and from work.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Responsibilities:
- Install carpet using stretch-in installation techniques.
- Measure, cut, seam and trim carpet to specifications.
- Prepare subfloors and install tack strips, padding, and transitions.
- Move and replace furniture as needed during installations.
- Inspect materials and job sites before installation.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
- Communicate professionally with customers, project managers, and team members.
- Operate and maintain installation tools and equipment.
- Complete installations according to Company quality standards and manufacturer guidelines.
- Frequent bending, kneeling, lifting, and standing for extended periods.
