Residential Civil Project Manager
Summary
A licensed civil engineer will establish and lead the new Brunswick, GA office's residential land development practice — simultaneously managing projects (clients, budgets, schedules, permitting) and doing hands-on design work like grading, drainage, utility, and roadway plans in Civil 3D. Requires 5-8 years of residential site design experience.

About the Role
Coleman Company, Inc. has opened up a new office in Brunswick, GA, and we are seeking a growth-oriented and entrepreneurial Civil Project Manager / Engineer to establish our Residential Land Development presence in the Golden Isles. This role is ideal for a motivated engineer ready to step into leadership, client ownership, and market-building responsibility, while staying close to the technical work.
This is a dual role by design. You will manage residential land development projects from concept through construction completion, and you will design them. In a new office with a small team, that means producing grading, drainage, utility, and roadway plans, while also reviewing them. The successful candidate will have at least 5-8 years of residential site design experience and the range to move between running a project and drawing it. As the Brunswick team grows, so does this role as we establish our presence in Brunswick, GA.
What We're Looking For
We are looking for a licensed Professional Engineer (or the ability to obtain licensure quickly) with strong technical skills and a passion for leading residential land development projects. The ideal candidate is a confident communicator, proactive problem solver, and collaborative leader who is comfortable in Civil 3D one day and in front of a client the next. Experience with coastal Georgia permitting is a strong plus, as is a desire to mentor the staff we hire around you.
Key Responsibilities

- Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, and work plans to ensure on-time and on-budget delivery, including invoicing and collections

- Mentor junior and mid-level engineers and designers, and assist in workload planning as the Brunswick team grows
- Produce civil designs for residential subdivisions, including grading, stormwater management, utilities, and roadway infrastructure
- Perform and review hydrologic and hydraulic analyses and prepare supporting stormwater reports
- Prepare, review, and seal construction documents, specifications, and cost estimates
- Provide technical direction and QA/QC review of work produced by other engineers and designers
- Lead permitting with Glynn County, the City of Brunswick, Georgia EPD, and the Georgia DNR Coastal Resources Division, ensuring compliance with local, state, and federal standards
