Residential Fence Sales Consultant

Key Duties & Responsibilities

  • Meet with homeowners to evaluate fencing needs and recommend appropriate solutions.
  • Prepare accurate and timely estimates using company pricing guidelines.
  • Present proposals and close residential fencing projects.
  • Follow up on all estimates in a timely manner.
  • Maintain a current bid log and provide weekly sales activity reports.
  • Build strong relationships with homeowners through exceptional customer service.
  • Coordinate with scheduling, operations, and installation teams to ensure projects are completed on time.
  • Conduct site measurements and identify potential installation challenges.
  • Communicate project details accurately to the installation team.
  • Address customer questions before, during, and after installation.
  • Assist with resolving customer concerns professionally.
  • Represent Viking Fence with honesty, integrity, and professionalism.
  • Attend sales meetings and participate in ongoing product and sales training.

    • 2+ years of residential sales experience preferred.
    • Experience in fencing, construction, landscaping, home improvement, or a related industry preferred.
    • Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
    • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently.
    • Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
    • Comfortable using CRM software, Microsoft Outlook, and Excel.
    • Ability to read property surveys and perform accurate field measurements.
    • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
    • Ability to pass a background check and drug screen.
    • Must have reliable transportation.
    • Travel throughout assigned area and ability to visit job sites.
