Residential Float Direct Support Professional (DSP)

Residential Services | Full-Time | Minimum 30 Hours Per Week
Cañon City, Colorado

Make a Difference Wherever You’re Needed Most

Starpoint is seeking dependable, flexible, and compassionate Residential Float Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) to join our Residential Services team.

Starpoint provides services and supports to adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities in residential settings 24 hours a day, seven days a week, 365 days a year.

Residential Float DSPs provide dependable staffing coverage across multiple residential locations during employee PTO, call-offs, vacancies, training, appointments, and other staffing needs. Your flexibility helps ensure the adults we serve continue receiving safe, consistent, and high-quality support.

Position Overview

Residential Float DSPs are full-time employees who work a minimum of 30 hours per week. Employees will have the opportunity to select from available open shifts. If an employee does not select at least 30 hours, supervisors will assign additional shifts based on staffing and program needs to meet the required minimum. Unlike DSPs who may have a primary residential assignment, Residential Float DSPs are cross-trained to work at multiple Starpoint residential homes and provide coverage wherever it is needed. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys variety, adapts well to changing environments, and is comfortable working with different individuals, teams, schedules, and residential routines.

How Float Scheduling Works
