Residential Licensed Therapist

Job Summary:

The Residential Licensed Therapist provides individual, group, and family therapy to adults receiving residential substance use and mental health treatment at ARCA’s W. Pine location. Working as part of a multidisciplinary treatment team, this position conducts assessments, develops individualized treatment plans, provides evidence-based therapeutic interventions, supports crisis stabilization, and helps residents achieve recovery and discharge goals while maintaining compliance with licensing, accreditation, and payer requirements.

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive biopsychosocial assessments and determine clinical treatment needs.
  • Develop, implement, and regularly update individualized treatment plans in collaboration with residents and the treatment team.
  • Provide individual, group, and family therapy using evidence-based practices appropriate for co-occurring mental health and substance use disorders.
  • Facilitate psychoeducational and process groups that support recovery, relapse prevention, coping skills, emotional regulation, and life skills development.
  • Provide crisis assessment, intervention, safety planning, and coordination of higher levels of care when clinically indicated.
  • Collaborate with physicians, nurses, case managers, peer specialists, and other clinical staff to coordinate resident care.
  • Complete timely and accurate clinical documentation in the electronic health record in accordance with ARCA, DMH, Medicaid, and regulatory requirements.
  • Participate in treatment team meetings, case consultations, and discharge planning.
  • Maintain professional licensure and complete required continuing education.
  • Comply with all ARCA policies, confidentiality standards (HIPAA), and ethical guidelines.

This position is based at ARCA's W. Pine residential treatment facility. The therapist works primarily onsite in a residential behavioral health setting and may occasionally participate in community-based meetings or discharge planning activities. This role requires the ability to respond to behavioral health crises, maintain professional boundaries, and work effectively with individuals experiencing substance use and mental health disorders.
