Job Summary: This is a full time position for a hands on residential manager providing direction, supervision, and training of staff as well as work directly with adults who have developmental disabilities in a residential home setting. Coordinate all operations and activities of the residence, including staff supervision, acting as agency/community liaison, and directing resident training, and programming family support.

Responsibilities include:

  • Foster open and supportive communication with consumers, families, DDS, Guardians and other community organizations and agencies.
  • Oversee all consumer medical, medication and health issues.
  • Provide and ensure communication of medical and health issues to staff, agency nurses, and families.
  • Administrative responsibilities include scheduling and time reporting, financial management, coordination of community activities, family member interaction, and record keeping and reporting.
  • Monitor staff performance management, including evaluations and developmental plans and disciplinary actions.
  • Routinely review and ensure completion/submission of all required daily, bi-weekly, monthly, quarterly and annual reports as scheduled.
  • Maintain and organize all data collection, medical behavioral and all other documentation needed according to the company procedures and DDS policies.
  • Coordinate all aspects of consumer and program financial procedures in accordance with company and DDS policies. Assure the proper and prudent expenditures of all funds.
  • Oversee maintenance of the location and vehicles to include cleanliness, décor, safety issues, and emergency situations: practice preventative maintenance; ensure compliance with OSHA standards.

Working Conditions

  • Physical activities include but not limited to climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, pulling, etc.
  • Exerting in excess of 100 lbs. of force occasionally.
  • Subject to both indoor and outdoor environmental conditions.
  • The worker is subject to hazards such as moving parts, moving vehicles, etc.
