Residential Property Manager
Key Responsibilities
- Manage daily operations of assigned residential properties, including legal , tenant relations, and vendor coordination
- Serve as the primary point of contact for tenants, addressing concerns and ensuring timely resolution of issues
- Coordinate with superintendents, porters, and third-party vendors to maintain building conditions and complete repairs
- Ensure compliance with NYC regulations, including HPD, DOB, and other agency requirements
- Monitor rent collections and arrears; coordinate with legal counsel on nonpayment or holdover proceedings
- Conduct regular property inspections and implement corrective action as needed
- Manage and track work orders and maintenance requests to ensure timely completion
- Assist with budgeting, expense tracking, and financial reporting in coordination with internal teams
- Support capital improvement projects and ensure proper execution and documentation
- Maintain accurate property records, tenant files, and reporting within MRI or related systems
Preferred Skills
- Experience managing mixed portfolios (walk-ups, multifamily)
- Familiarity with legal processes related to housing court and tenant disputes

- Bachelor’s degree preferred (or equivalent experience in property management)
- 3–5+ years of residential property management experience, preferably in NYC
- Strong knowledge of NYC housing regulations (HPD, DOB, rent stabilization/market-rate practices)
- Experience with property management systems (MRI preferred)
- Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to manage multiple properties and priorities in a fast-paced environment
