- Occasionally required to sit
- Rarely required to use hands to finger, handle, feel objects, manipulate tools or controls, and grasp objects
- Ability to listen and remember information
- Ability to speak clearly
- Occasionally assist clients with a mechanical lift and provide lift and/or movement assistance up to 50 pounds for positioning or care
- Using mechanical lifts may be required to regularly lift and/or move up to 75 pounds to transfer persons to/from wheelchairs to toilets, chairs and beds
- Able to respond upon waking to serve people supported
- Ability to read/interpret/understand documents such as safety rules, operating/maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
- Ability to write routine reports and correspondence
- Ability to perform basic math functions
- Ability to solve practical problems, dealing with a variety of concrete variables in situation where only limited standardization exists (rational decision-making)
- Ability to interpret/carry out a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram or schedule form
