Residential Support Staff (NOC/Weekend Availability)

Summary

Under the direction of the Residential Program Manager and/or Program Coordinator, provides daily support services to residential staff and residents as assigned. This is a part-time overnight (NOC) position. Candidates must be available to work weekends and maintain flexibility to work scheduled shifts based on program needs.

Qualifications:

  • If a recovering person, has a minimum of one year of continuous sobriety and active participation in a program of recovery
  • Empathy for those with substance use disorders and their children
  • Provide and maintain current CPR / First-Aid Certification for Adults and Infants
  • Bilingual candidate, preferred

Responsibilities:

  • Provide support services for residential staff in a nurturing and compassionate manner
  • Monitor and document the condition of residents in withdrawal
  • Perform room and personal belonging searches to maintain the safety of residents
  • Facility walkthroughs to ensure residents are complying with policies and procedures
  • Supervise medication administration and drug tests for residents
  • Housekeeping duties: cleaning, organization, laundry, and tidying of rooms
  • Assist new clients with acclimating to the residence
  • Assist outgoing residents with move-out
  • Monitor residents while outside on breaks
  • Actively surveil and report violations of company policy to the Program Manager or Coordinator
  • Provide support for Counselors: data entry, case management, and other office duties
  • Additional assistance for residents: meal preparation, appointment scheduling, and transportation
  • Actively utilize, reference, and follow agency policies, procedures, and guidelines
  • Adhere to all HIPAA and HITECH requirements as they pertain to client care
  • Other duties as assigned

Competencies:

  • Ability to perform crisis management
  • Knowledge of basic computer functions
  • Effective communication skills both written and verbal

Education:

  • Willingness to obtain the education necessary to maintain the above responsibilities
  • General knowledge of treatment and recovery from substance use disorder
  • Provide current TB test results annually or annual physician statement if an x-ray is required
  • Peer Support Specialist certification or ability obtain within 90 days.

Pay Rate:

  • Bracket 1(0 Experience): $16 - $17
  • Bracket 2 (1 Year Behavioral Health): $17 - $18
  • Bracket 3 (Peer Certified): $18 - $19
