Resource Acquisition Specialist

Responsibilities
The Resources Acquisition Specialist is responsible for support for the procurement and administrative support for e-subscriptions of e-books, e-resources and databases, spanning the full subscription lifecycle.
You will cover the following :
• Manage the full acquisition process, including sourcing quotations, vendor liaison, vendor management and compliance with procurement procedures.
• Manage subscription activation access and management, including electronic resource authentication.
• Review and maintain license agreements, usage rights, restrictions, and renewal deadlines.
• Monitor renewal of subscriptions and support decisions on subscription continuation, replacement, or cancellation.
• Manage invoices, billing accuracy, supporting financial documentation and reports.
Requirements
• Diploma or Degree in Library & Information Science, Information Management, Business Administration, Procurement, Supply Chain Management, or a related discipline with a minimum of 1 year of experience in acquisition of materials, preferably in e-resources or related procurement.
• Candidates with other relevant qualifications and practical experience in acquisition management, publishing, or library services may also be considered.
• Strong written communication, interpersonal, and vendor-management skills.
• Knowledge of current publishing models and industry trends.
• Proactive, adaptable, committed, and collaborative.
• Adaptable and able to respond quickly to changes in processes and work requirements.
• Positive attitude with a willingness to go the extra mile when required.
The successful candidate will be appointed into a position commensurate with his/her work experience.
