Resources Coordinator
Summary
Coordinates construction resources like manpower, equipment, and materials on-site, tracking availability and productivity to meet project schedules in heavy infrastructure projects.
- Monitor the availability of manpower, equipment, tools, materials, and consumables at the project site.
- Prepare manpower mapping based on quantity, position/trade, competency, contractor, and project/work-front.
- Prepare equipment mapping based on type, quantity, capacity, condition, availability, and project/work-front.
- Monitor materials and consumables while identifying potential shortages or bottlenecks.
- Compare Required Resources vs. Actual Resources based on the project schedule, work targets, and site conditions.
- Analyze manpower and equipment productivity against project targets.
- Identify resource shortages, excess resources, idle equipment, material bottlenecks, and potential project delays.
- Coordinate with contractors, consultants, SCS, and resource owners regarding mobilization, additional resources, replacements, redistribution, recovery, or acceleration plans.
- Prepare daily and weekly resource monitoring reports and provide early warnings when available resources are insufficient to meet the project schedule.
Requirements
- Minimum Diploma (D3) in Civil Engineering or Mechanical Engineering.
- Minimum 5 years of experience as a Planner, Resource Coordinator, Material Coordinator, Project Control, or in a similar role.
- Experience in heavy construction, infrastructure, utilities, roadworks, earthworks, drainage, piping, or industrial construction projects.
- Strong understanding of construction scheduling and productivity.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel.
- Experience with Microsoft Project or Primavera P6 is an advantage.
- Strong analytical, field coordination, communication, and follow-up skills.
