Restaurant Floor Manager
Job Summary
Lead and manage front-of-house operations in a food and beverage setting, ensuring excellent guest experiences, efficient staff coordination, and smooth operational control.
Responsibilities
- Lead pre-shift briefings to align team goals and service standards
- Schedule staff shifts to optimize coverage and operational efficiency
- Train new hires to ensure consistent service quality and adherence to company standards
- Monitor staff grooming and performance to maintain professional presentation and service excellence
- Greet diners warmly and manage table flow and reservations to maximize guest satisfaction and seating efficiency
- Resolve customer complaints tactfully to maintain positive guest relations and uphold brand reputation
- Coordinate closely with the kitchen team to ensure smooth service delivery and timely order fulfillment
- Maintain cleanliness standards in front-of-house areas to comply with hygiene and safety regulations
- Enforce safety regulations to provide a secure environment for staff and guests
- Track front-of-house supplies and project product needs to prevent shortages and support uninterrupted operations
- Prepare daily reports to document operational performance and inventory status
Preferred competencies and qualifications
- Minimum 1 year experience in a supervisory food and beverage role
- Strong communication skills to effectively lead teams and interact with guests
- Conflict resolution skills to manage and resolve customer and staff issues professionally
- Team leadership skills to motivate and guide staff toward achieving operational goals
- Operational multitasking skills to manage multiple responsibilities efficiently in a dynamic environment
