RESTAURANT HOSTESS

QUALIFICATION EXPERIENCE

• Previous experience in a restaurant or customer-facing role is preferred but not required
• Knowledge of Swahili or familiarity with Tanzanian culture is a plus
• A friendly, approachable, and professional demeanor
• Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment
• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Warmly greet and welcome guests as they arrive.
• Manage reservations and walk-ins using a seating system or reservation software.
• Escort guests to their tables and present menus.
• Maintain a neat and organized reception area.
• Handle guest inquiries about the menu, restaurant, or special events with professionalism.
• Coordinate with the serving staff to optimize table turnover and ensure smooth operations.
• Uphold the restaurant's standards for customer service and hospitality.
• Address guest complaints or concerns promptly and professionally.
