Restaurant Manager

About the role

Shift managers are needed for McDonald's restaurants under franchise agreement, in the Barcelona area.

Responsibilities include ensuring that team staff properly carry out their tasks, and also:

What you'll do

• Uses interpersonal skills for basic communication, follow-up, and interaction with employees.
• Checks product deliveries against invoices and verifies the condition in which the product arrives (timing, good condition, etc.).
• Carries out and complies with internal quality control and audit programs.
• Oversees occupational risk prevention during openings, closings, maintenance, and deliveries, and generally throughout the shift.
• Ensures the good condition of machinery and equipment.
• Verifies bank deposits and cash handling procedures within the company.
• Ensures compliance with operational procedures during the shift.
• Checks primary and secondary expiration dates, as well as product rotation.
• Ensures proper order in the restaurant.
• Reports any incidents occurring in the restaurant to the manager.
• Oversees the assigned area in terms of staff, product, and machinery.
• Performs any assigned tasks, such as waste control, staff meals, hand washing, changing rags, etc.
• Supports the training of staff in general.
• Follows security and verification procedures when handling deposits and the contents of the safe.
• Handles opening and closing shifts.
• Maintains critical standards for storage periods, fast service, and quality of raw and finished products, as well as cleanliness and hygiene.
• Monitors procedures supporting promotions during the shift.
• Handles customer complaints.
• Supervises raw product deliveries.
• Prepares staff, machinery, and products for the shift.
• Completes the assigned daily documentation, including maintenance and any other tasks assigned.
• Monitors facility maintenance during the shift.
• Performs basic daily machinery inspections and adjusts time and temperature settings.
• Enforces occupational risk prevention standards during the shift.
• Applies the guide for placing employees in their workstations.
• Achieves quality, service, and cleanliness standards on all shifts without supervision.
• Records and prepares invoices for approval and payment processing.
• Gathers information when incidents occur during the shift.
• Any other duties assigned by superiors.
