Restaurant Technology Infrastructure Engineer

Location: Onsite, Dublin, OH

Overview

This role supports a restaurant technology team and requires experience across both hardware and software. It is a hands-on engineering position that leans closer to development than traditional QA. The first month focuses on physically building out infrastructure, followed by work in virtualized and cloud environments, container maintenance, and automated store provisioning.

Strong interpersonal skills are essential. The engineer will work closely with multiple business units and must be able to translate business needs into technical outcomes. Candidates who are personable and eager to learn new technologies on the job will be well positioned for success.

Responsibilities

• Build and configure physical infrastructure for restaurant technology environments
• Support virtualized environments and cloud components in Google Cloud Platform or AWS
• Maintain containerized applications and supporting batch scripts
• Automate store provisioning using REST APIs and Postman
• Build and maintain GitLab pipelines and scripts
• Manage infrastructure as code with Terraform
• Work from technical documentation across Linux and Windows environments
• Partner with business stakeholders to define and deliver technical solutions

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience with both hardware and software
• Strong communication and collaboration skills
• Demonstrated ability to learn new tools and technologies quickly
• Working knowledge of Linux and Windows
• Familiarity with containerization and virtualization
• Exposure to Google Cloud Platform or AWS
• Experience with REST APIs, Postman, GitLab pipelines, and Terraform
• Scripting experience, including batch scripting

Preferred

• Restaurant or hospitality technology experience
• Android knowledge
