Our Op Shop teams do fantastic work in the community selling affordable pre-loved goods, and this helps to fund our essential, lifesaving services and community initiatives.

They have created friendly, supportive community hubs, offering much-needed local services and even help New Zealand to be more environmentally sustainable - more recycling means less landfill!

Maybe you already have retail or customer service experience or perhaps you're looking for an opportunity to learn these skills - either way, we'd love to hear from you.

What's involved?

Retail Assistant Volunteer

There's plenty of variety in this role, you could be doing anything from:

  • serving customers
  • cash handling
  • sorting donated goods
  • visual merchandising
  • tidying the store

Volunteer Driver:

As a store driver, you will be working alongside an experienced volunteer to deliver pre-loved goods in Waiuku. Ideally you will have a good level of physical fitness, as the role will involve lifting and moving furniture with another driver.

A full, clean, New Zealand driver's licence is essential.

The role will be based at our Waiuku store: 4 Court Street, Waiuku

Ko wai koe - About you:

We are seeking people who can spare one or two 4 hour shifts a week, ideally for 6 - 12 months.

We're looking for caring individuals, who are over the age of 18 and who are keen to give back to their community. If you're keen to learn, enthusiastic and reliable, then we can teach you the skills you need.

The recruitment process will involve:

  • an interview with the store manager
  • a criminal record check
  • a current, full NZ Driver License
