Retail Executive (Wine Retail)

Location: Vivino (Singapore) – Velocity @ Novena Square

Job Summary:

Vivino is looking for a passionate and customer-focused Retail Executive to join our wine retail team. In this role, you will help customers discover wines that suit their tastes, occasions, and budgets while delivering an exceptional in-store experience. You will build your knowledge of our wine portfolio, share recommendations confidently, and contribute to achieving the store's sales targets.

Whether customers are experienced wine enthusiasts or purchasing wine for the first time, you will play an important role in making their shopping experience enjoyable and memorable.

Key Responsibilities

• Welcome customers and provide warm, personalised service.
• Understand customers' preferences, occasions, and budgets to recommend suitable wines and related products.
• Develop strong product knowledge of wines, including grape varieties, wine regions, tasting profiles, food pairings, and promotions.
• Confidently explain the characteristics of different wines and assist customers in making informed purchasing decisions.
• Drive sales through product recommendations, upselling, and cross-selling.
• Maintain attractive wine displays and ensure shelves are fully stocked, organised, and accurately priced.
• Receive, unpack, and replenish wine stock while ensuring proper stock rotation and inventory accuracy.
• Process sales transactions accurately using the point-of-sale (POS) system.
• Maintain a clean, organised, and welcoming store environment.
• Keep up to date with new wine arrivals, seasonal collections, and promotional campaigns.
• Work closely with the store team to achieve sales targets and deliver an outstanding customer experience.
• Comply with company policies, health and safety standards, and responsible alcohol retailing practices.

Requirements

• Passion for wine and providing excellent customer service.
• Previous retail or hospitality experience is preferred.
• Experience in a wine shop, liquor retail, wine distribution, restaurant, bar, or hotel is an advantage.
• WSET certification or wine knowledge is an advantage but not required. Training will be provided.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Sales-oriented with the ability to build rapport and recommend products confidently.
• Positive attitude, willingness to learn, and ability to work well in a team.
• Comfortable working weekends, public holidays, and rotating shifts.

Working Conditions

• Must be able to stand for extended periods and lift light to moderate objects.
• Must be comfortable working in a retail environment with a high level of customer interaction.
• 5 days work week between Monday to Sunday
• Able to work on weekends and public holidays.
• Working hours 11am to 10:30pm
• OT will be paid for work more than 44 hours per week (excluding lunch time)
