Position Overview
Reporting to experienced IT leadership, the IT Retail Systems Manager will oversee the administration, integration, security, and performance of critical retail technology systems. This role is responsible for ensuring reliable operation of point-of-sale platforms, eCommerce solutions, payment processing systems, customer account technologies, and related business applications while maintaining strong security and compliance standards.
Key Responsibilities
Retail Technology Leadership
- Manage and support enterprise retail technology platforms, including POS, eCommerce, inventory management, payment processing, and customer account systems.
- Ensure system reliability, performance, integrations, and reporting capabilities.
- Identify and implement innovative technologies that improve customer experience and operational efficiency.
- Lead system upgrades, migrations, enhancements, and new technology deployments.
Team Management
- Directly supervise and mentor technical staff.
- Manage hiring, training, performance management, and professional development.
- Foster a collaborative, customer-focused service culture.
Security & Compliance
- Maintain the security and integrity of payment processing systems and retail technology infrastructure.
- Ensure compliance with PCI standards and applicable security requirements.
- Manage user access controls, audits, and system governance practices.
Project & Vendor Management
- Lead technology implementation projects across multiple business units.
- Coordinate with internal stakeholders and external vendors to deliver successful outcomes.
- Manage technology contracts, licensing, configuration updates, and vendor relationships.
- Evaluate new products and solutions and provide recommendations to leadership.
Business Process Improvement
- Analyze business workflows and identify opportunities for greater efficiency.
- Develop reporting and analytics capabilities that support operational and financial decision-making.
- Support strategic initiatives through technology-enabled solutions.
Qualifications
Required Experience
- 4+ years of experience in IT leadership, retail technology, or related technical management roles.
- Experience managing technical teams and supervising staff.
- Strong background supporting Point-of-Sale (POS) systems and retail technology environments.
- Experience with PCI compliance and payment processing security.
- Experience managing technology vendors, system implementations, and upgrades.
- Proven success supporting customer-facing business operations.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Information Systems, or related field.
- Relevant industry certifications.
- Experience supporting eCommerce platforms and system integrations.
- Experience with inventory management systems and retail analytics.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Pomona, CA.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $50.00 - $65.00/hr.
Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
