Retail Manager
The Retail Manager is responsible for the management and supervision of all Gift Shop
and Vending operations on a routine basis according to policies and procedures.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Hire, evaluate, coach, counsel, and train Retail staff which includes performance
management.
2. Accountable for leading and holding team accountable for following policies and
procedures and meeting the goals of the department.
3. Develop daily work schedules and assignments.
4. Responsible for achieving P&L expectations including sales and expense targets.
5. Develop annual budget and ensure budget goals are met by evaluating expenditures,
analyzing variances and pricing, and increasing sales overall.
6. Analyze operating and financial statements to ensure profitability ratios.
7. Maintain excellent communication with staff, all other departments, management, and
Gaming Agency staff.
8. Conduct staff meetings regularly.
9. Review sales reports daily and maintain accurate inventory, ensuring items are in stock.
10. Maintain merchandising and presentation of Gift Shop to ensure monthly sales goals are
met.
11. Formulates pricing policies by reviewing merchandising activities, determining additional
needed sales promotion; authorizing clearance sales; monitor local competition.
12. Demonstrates integrity and honesty in all interactions and is proactive in loss prevention
to achieve store shortage goals.
13. Works with and maintains a working relationship with Gaming Agency staff in the
prevention of loss and shortages.
14. Maintain accurate records and timely submits.
15. Ensure timely orders, accountability of ordered items, accurate invoices and ensure
timely payments.
16. Provide great guest service, address complaints and resolve problems in a timely
manner.
17. Identify current and future trends that appeal to consumers.
18. Research products and place orders based on demands, sales, and profitability ratios.
19. Prepare and maintain an inventory list monthly.
20. Adhere to regulatory, departmental and company policies and procedures.
21. All other duties as assigned.
