RETAIL MANAGER
Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Retail Manager to lead store operations, drive sales growth, develop high-performing teams, and deliver exceptional customer experiences across our retail locations.
Responsibilities
- Oversee daily retail store operations to ensure efficient workflow and achievement of business objectives
- Lead, coach, and motivate the retail team to meet sales targets, KPIs, and customer service standards
- Develop and implement strategies to increase sales, improve productivity, and maximise profitability
- Recruit, train, and evaluate retail staff to build a skilled and motivated team culture
- Prepare staff schedules and manage manpower planning to optimise store coverage
- Monitor sales performance and generate daily, weekly, and monthly reports for management review
- Deliver excellent customer service by resolving feedback and escalated issues professionally
- Maintain high standards of visual merchandising, store presentation, and housekeeping
- Manage inventory processes including stock replenishment, transfers, and accuracy control
- Ensure compliance with company policies, operational procedures, and health and safety regulations
- Collaborate with marketing and merchandising teams to execute promotions, product launches, and in-store events
- Monitor and control store expenses to optimise operating costs
- Identify and implement opportunities to improve operational efficiency and enhance customer satisfaction
- Perform additional duties as assigned by management
Preferred competencies and qualifications
- Diploma or Degree in Business, Retail Management, or related field
- Minimum 5 years of retail experience, including at least 2 years in a managerial role
- Experience in beauty, cosmetics, luxury, fashion, or FMCG retail sectors
- Proven track record of achieving sales targets and managing store performance
- Strong leadership, coaching, and team development skills
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving abilities
- Customer-focused with strong commercial awareness
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and retail POS/inventory management systems
- Willingness to work on weekends, public holidays, and rotating shifts
