Join Our Retail Team

The retail divisions of Simpcw Resources Group, Teniye Market and Timber Mart, are seeking an enthusiastic, organized, and creative Part-Time Retail Marketing Coordinator, reporting to the Chief Operating Officer, to support our growing retail and e-commerce operations, this position will be minimum of three (3) days per week and 50% based in Barriere between Teniye and Timber Mart and 1 day office based.

This is an excellent opportunity for a marketing professional who enjoys combining digital marketing, content creation, e-commerce administration, and customer engagement in a dynamic retail environment.

Reporting to the Marketing and Communications Manager, the Retail Marketing Coordinator will support online sales channels, create marketing materials, assist with promotional campaigns, and help deliver a seamless customer experience across multiple platforms. Approximately 60% of the role will focus on e-commerce administration, 30% on marketing and content creation, and 10% on customer support activities.

Our ideal candidate has the following qualifications:

Required

  • Diploma or degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Communications, E-Commerce, or a related field preferred
  • 2–4 years of experience in e-commerce, marketing, retail operations, or a related role
  • Experience creating digital and print marketing materials
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
  • Strong customer service and problem-solving abilities

Preferred

  • Shopify, WooCommerce, Square Online, or similar e-commerce platforms
  • Canva and/or Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign)
  • Meta Business Suite
  • Mailchimp, Constant Contact, or similar email marketing platforms
  • Social media content creation and scheduling tools
  • Basic website content management systems (CMS)

In this role you will:

E-Commerce Operations

  • Manage and maintain product listings across e-commerce platforms
  • Coordinate with retail managers and upload and update product descriptions, images, pricing, and specifications
  • Coordinate photography and visual assets for online and marketing use
  • Coordinate with store managers or purchaser on low inventory levels
  • Process and monitor customer orders and coordinate fulfillment activities
  • Assist retail managers with shipping schedules, including local deliveries
  • Investigate and resolve order discrepancies, shipping issues, and customer concerns
  • Conduct routine audits to ensure product and pricing accuracy
  • Monitor website performance and report technical issues to the IT department as required

Marketing & Promotions

  • Design and produce promotional flyers, advertisements, and marketing materials
  • Coordinate with retail staff and create digital content for websites, email campaigns, and social media channels
  • Assist in planning and executing sales promotions, product launches, and campaigns
  • Support the development of email marketing campaigns and customer communications for loyalty programs

Customer Support

  • Respond to customer inquiries related to products, orders, shipping, and returns
  • Work with operations and customer service teams to resolve customer issues
  • Support initiatives that enhance customer satisfaction and retention
