Here's what's needed:
- Energetic, self-motivated sales professional with exceptional interpersonal, listening and communication skills, bilingual ( Spanish) is a plus!
- High School graduate, or equivalent. Some college preferred
- Ability to work a flexible 5 day work schedule: days, evenings, weekends and holidays (Fourth of July, Black Friday, etc.)
- Pleasant and polite manners when dealing with co-workers as well as customers (After nearly 7 decades, we still believe in the “golden rule”)
- Familiarity with sales and closing techniques
- Basic reading, math, writing and communication skills
- Strong computer, email and internet proficiency with nimble keyboard skills
- A commitment to high professional ethical standards of always doing the right thing!
- Accountability for individual performance within a team environment
- Verifiable positive track record of success, preferably in the area of
- Appliances, Bedding or big-ticket items.
- Patience, resiliency and persistence backed by a results-oriented personality
- Energy, enthusiasm and the ambition to flourish in a fast-paced sales culture.
- Ability to safely lift up to 40 pounds on a repetitive basis, and up to 75 pounds on an occasional basis without assistance
- Pass criminal background check, and a pre-employment drug test
- And finally, you’re characterized as a person who’s “glass is ALWAYS half full…vs. half empty”
