Position Overview
Join Burlington as a Part-Time Retail Shortage Control Associate and help create a safe, secure, and welcoming shopping experience for customers and associates. In this customer-facing role, you will support shortage reduction efforts through observation, customer engagement, and store safety awareness while maintaining a visible presence throughout the store. This position is ideal for individuals who are attentive, professional, and enjoy interacting with people in a retail environment.

Key Responsibilities
- Greet customers and maintain a visible presence throughout the store.
- Help promote a safe and secure shopping environment.
- Monitor store entrances, exits, and sales floor activity.
- Identify and report safety or security concerns.
- Support shortage reduction and loss prevention efforts.
- Conduct associate package and bag checks.
- Deliver friendly and professional customer service.
- Follow company policies and operational procedures.
Requirements
1+ years of experience in customer service, hospitality, retail, Asset Protection, Loss Prevention, or Operations is preferred.
Ability to stand and walk for extended periods of time and to visually monitor store environment.
Ability to maintain confidentiality.
Ability to review, analyze and comprehend business trends.
Ability to exhibit a positive demeanor, strong posture, and energetic greeting.
Ability to work in a fast paced, high-pressure environment with detailed focus and disciplined decision making.
Excellent communication with customers and co-workers.
Excellent leadership skills that support fostering productive business relationships.
Candidates must be able to work a flexible schedule; including nights, weekends, and holidays as required.
