Retail Stock Receiver & Customer Service Associate

Position Summary:

We're looking for a reliable, energetic team member to join our store as a Retail Stock Receiver & Customer Service Associate. This dual-role position is central to how our store runs — you'll keep our shelves stocked, our stockroom organized, and our customers smiling. Key Responsibilities:

Receiving & Inventory

• Receive, verify, and process incoming shipments against purchase orders and packing slips
• Inspect deliveries for accuracy, damage, and discrepancies; report and document any issues
• Unpack, label, and organize merchandise for the sales floor or stockroom
• Stock shelves, displays, and fixtures according to planograms and store standards
• Perform regular inventory counts and assist with cycle counts and annual inventory audits
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized stockroom and receiving area
• Operate pallet jacks, hand trucks, and other receiving equipment safely
• Communicate low-stock levels and product needs to management

Customer Service

• Greet and assist customers in a friendly, professional manner
• Answer product questions and help customers locate merchandise
• Process sales transactions accurately using the POS system, including cash, card, and returns
• Handle customer concerns and complaints with patience and a solutions-focused attitude
• Maintain a clean, well-merchandised sales floor during customer-facing shifts
• Assist with floor moves, markdowns, and promotional setups as needed

Qualifications:

Required:

• High school diploma or GED
• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs repeatedly and stand for extended periods
• Basic math skills and attention to detail for shipment verification and cash handling
• Dependable, punctual, and able to work a flexible schedule including weekends and holidays
• Strong communication skills and a positive, team-oriented attitude

Preferred:

• 1+ year of experience in retail, warehouse, or receiving environments
• Familiarity with inventory management systems or POS software
• Experience operating pallet jacks or other warehouse equipment (certification a plus)
• Bilingual a plus

Work Environment:

This position involves both stockroom and sales floor work. You can expect a fast-paced environment with frequent lifting, bending, and standing. Stockroom areas may be temperature-variable. Retail hours apply, including evenings, weekends, and peak season availability.
