Retail Storekeeper
Job Summary
Retail storekeepers support store operations by managing stock movement, storage, and recordkeeping to ensure efficient inventory control and timely availability of merchandise.
Responsibilities
- Transfer orders and merchandise accurately to support store inventory needs
- Handle purchase returns by processing and documenting returned items properly
- Receive goods by verifying deliveries and updating inventory records promptly
- Send merchandise for servicing while tracking items to ensure timely return
- Maintain cleanliness and organization in stock areas to facilitate easy retrieval
- Advise store staff on stock status to support inventory management decisions
- Document and file stock movement records to ensure accurate inventory tracking
- Prepare backroom stock take reports and identify discrepancies for resolution
Required competencies and certifications
- Communicate effectively in Basic English, both spoken and written
- Manage multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced retail environment
- Work flexible shifts including weekends, public holidays, and varying hours
- Safely carry heavy and bulky items to support stock handling requirements
Other Information
Work Schedule:
- Morning shift: 9:30 am to 5:30 pm
- Afternoon shift: 2 pm to 10 pm
- Z-Shift: 12 pm to 8 pm
- Full Shift: 9:30 am to 10 pm
Work Arrangements:
- Six off days per calendar month
- Probation Period: 3 months
Salary and Allowances:
- Basic salary: $1,900 to $2,000
- Public Holiday Allowance: $100
- Attendance Allowance (After Confirmation): $60
