Summary:

Responsible for providing excellent customer service following company policies and procedures and selling products at the retail store by performing the following duties.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Promote products and programs in a professional and business-like manner.
  • Loads customer vehicles with product, observing required and reasonable safety measures.
  • Unloads trucks delivering product using proper equipment such as two-wheeled cart, forklift, etc.
  • Fills propane bottles for in-store customers as well as tanks for delivery to customers and locations.
  • Ensures propane tanks are not overfilled and safety is observed.
  • Replaces valves on bottles with outdated valves and performs bottle inspections as needed.
  • Performs other petroleum related duties.
  • Reacting to and reporting customer complaints tactfully and promptly.
  • Following policies and procedures established to prevent loss of cash and merchandise due to actions by employees, vendors, and customers.
  • Billing, receiving, pricing, stocking, rotating and counting merchandise in store and warehouse.
  • May be responsible for cash drawer, including reconciliation and cash deposits.
  • Assist management in maintaining buildings, equipment, and grounds.
  • Certain branches/locations may require the employee to maintain a valid driver’s license and commercial insurability at all times.
  • All other duties associated with a high-volume retail outlet.
  • Other duties as assigned by management.

While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly exposed to outdoor weather conditions. The employee is frequently exposed to fumes or airborne particles. The employee is occasionally exposed to work near moving mechanical parts.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to walk; sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance and talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl and smell.

Exerting 50 to 100 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 25 to 50 pounds of force frequently, and/or 10 to 20 pounds of force constantly.
