The Revenue Cycle Representative III position is part of the Patient Financial Services Department and is a full-time role working 80 hours per two-week pay period. This position plays a key role in hospital billing, denials management, and patient financial interactions while ensuring compliance with payer and federal regulations.
Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent required
Required to obtain the Certified Professional Biller (CPB) credential through AAPC within 18 months of hire as a condition of continued employment
Strong understanding of insurance billing, including Medicare, Medicaid, and Commercial payers
Experience in medical terminology and medical coding preferred
Proficient computer, office, and math skills
Ability to read and follow written and oral instructions
Excellent interpersonal, communication, and customer service skills
Detail-oriented with a strong focus on accuracy and confidentiality
Hospital billing experience and Epic system experience preferred
Key Responsibilities
Release bills, work denials, and perform appeals
Maintain compliance with payer reimbursement policies and federal healthcare program requirements
Interact professionally with patients and providers regarding documentation policies and procedures
Review claims for accuracy and prepare billing records as requested by patients, departments, and other healthcare providers
Answer telephone calls and manage messages and requests
Communicate effectively with a focus on confidentiality, quality of work, and patient satisfaction
Perform other duties as assigned to support department workflow and hospital financial operations
Remote work eligibility may be considered after six (6) months of employment.
