Revenue Operations Analyst, Partnerships

This role sits at the intersection of data analytics, revenue operations, and financial reporting, supporting the growth of a rapidly expanding partner channel.
You will help ensure partner billing, forecasting, revenue recognition, and reporting processes are accurate, scalable, and reliable.
Working closely with revenue accounting, business teams, technical stakeholders, and external partners, you will turn complex source data and contract requirements into actionable technical solutions.
The position offers significant ownership of the billing engine, including data quality, automation, troubleshooting, and the development of new invoicing workflows.
You will work with large datasets and financial information while contributing to systems and integrations that directly support business growth.

Accountabilities:
- Transform source data into reliable, structured datasets that support monthly billing, revenue recognition, forecasting, and financial reporting.
- Validate employee benefits and partner enrollment data against customer source counts and the actual figures used for GAAP-compliant revenue accounting.
- Own the ongoing health and reliability of the billing engine by performing regular QA on Python and SQL logic, monitoring discrepancies, and troubleshooting production issues.
- Debug, maintain, and improve existing billing-engine code to resolve data or invoicing issues while minimizing disruption to partner billing and downstream reporting.
- Design and implement new invoicing logic and billing workflows to accommodate evolving contract structures, partner models, pricing arrangements, and business requirements.
- Translate business and contractual requirements into clear technical logic, working iteratively with stakeholders to validate assumptions and ensure accurate implementation.
- Analyze financial and operational datasets to identify trends, discrepancies, risks, and opportunities for improved revenue operations.
- Support billing, reconciliation, forecasting, and revenue reporting processes by ensuring data quality and consistency across systems.
- Serve as a subject-matter expert for Partner Revenue Operations on ad hoc analytical projects, system integrations, and process improvements.
- Collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders to resolve data, billing, and revenue-related questions efficiently.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement and scalability of partner revenue processes, systems, and reporting infrastructure.
- Bachelor’s degree in Analytics, Data Science, Applied Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, Economics, or a related field.
- 2–3 years of progressive experience in data analytics, ideally involving financial, billing, revenue, or business data.
- Strong proficiency in SQL and Python, including the ability to query, transform, and manipulate large datasets efficiently.
- Experience with Databricks or comparable cloud-based data analytics and engineering environments.
- Hands-on experience building data logic, pipelines, or automated workflows, particularly those supporting billing, invoicing, or revenue processes.
- Ability to translate complex business or contract requirements into technical logic and collaborate with stakeholders to validate requirements and assumptions.
- Advanced Excel skills, including pivot tables, advanced formulas, data analysis, and reconciliation.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities, with a demonstrated ability to identify discrepancies, investigate root causes, and ensure data accuracy.
- Solid understanding of financial statements and fundamental accounting principles, including familiarity with relevant tax considerations.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to manage sensitive financial and revenue data accurately.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively across technical, financial, and business teams.
- Experience with billing processes, system integrations, revenue recognition, invoicing, or reconciliation is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with Zuora, NetSuite, Salesforce, Avalara, or comparable financial, CRM, billing, or sales-tax platforms is a plus.
- Understanding of subscription-based, usage-based, revenue-share, tiered-pricing, or other complex billing models is advantageous.
- Salary: $75,000–$90,000 USD annually, with compensation varying based on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and location.
