Revenue & Reservations Manager

Primary Responsibilities

  1. Revenue Management & Strategic Pricing
  • Market Analysis: Perform continuous analysis of changing channel distribution models and their direct impact on consumer booking trends.
  • Pricing Strategy: Optimize hotel and corporate pricing strategies by defining and managing BAR (Best Available Rate) levels, stay restrictions, and other tactical yield management measures congruent with demand factors.
  • Rate Integrity: Maintain rates that promote brand integrity and protect long-term customer relationships.
  • Offer Development: Collaborate with the Revenue Management and Sales & Marketing teams to determine effective, engaging, and targeted rate offers (packages) delivered to the right customer via the right channel.
  • Distribution Control: Monitor transient, group, and tour booking pace to determine pricing and availability controls for all reservation distribution sources, implementing timely changes to the distribution plan.
  • Forecasting & Data: Complete all rooms and revenue forecasting to accurately project unconstrained demand. Maintain future and historical data within the Demand Analysis strategies.
  • System Integrity: Ensure appropriate system overrides are in place and special events or promotions are accurately loaded into the property systems (PMS/CRS/Channel Manager).
  • Business Selection: Partner with the Director of Sales & Marketing and Sales team members to encourage strategic selection of group/corporate business in alignment with brand guidelines.
  • Competitor Tracking: Track and analyze competitive set (comp set) pricing and yield strategies to accurately predict marketplace reactions.
  • Meetings & Reports: Chair and prepare comprehensive materials for the weekly Revenue Management Meetings and prepare regular revenue updates for Executive Management.
  1. Reservation Operations & Guest Relations
  • Daily Operation: Responsible for the daily organization, workflow allocation, and operational efficiency of the reservation section.
  • Quality Standards: Monitor guest service personnel constantly, ensuring maximum guest satisfaction is achieved through personalized guest recognition and prompt, cordial attention.
  • Public Relations: Establish and maintain excellent public relations with all guests and visitors, safeguarding a top-tier reputation for the Hotel.
  • Information Accuracy: Maintain complete and updated knowledge of all the hotel's latest features, services, and promotions. Ensure guests are provided with the most accurate, meaningful, and up-to-date information at all times.
  1. Team Management & Leadership
  • Recruitment & Reviews: Interview, select, and recruit direct reports. Conduct objective, periodic performance reviews with the team.
  • Talent Development: Identify and develop team members with high potential. Plan, conduct, and maintain training programs that address development needs and equip staff with new skills to meet changing business demands.
  • Professionalism: Constantly monitor team members’ appearance, hygiene, attitude, and overall degree of professionalism.
  • Leadership Example: Maintain a positive attitude towards work, stay self-disciplined, self-motivated, and set an exemplary working standard for all subordinates. Be understanding, supportive, encouraging, and helpful to the entire team.
  1. General Responsibilities
  • Collaboration: Maintain an excellent working relationship with all colleagues and hotel departments (Finance, Front Office, F&B, Sales & Marketing, IT, People & Culture, Engineering).
  • Safety & Compliance: Stay fully aware of and compliant with the hotel’s fire, life safety, and emergency procedures.
  • Administrative Duties: Attend all briefings, meetings, and corporate trainings as assigned by management. Perform any other reasonable duties assigned by the Management team.

  • Responsible for recruiting and organizing training for personnel within the department, ensuring that staffing needs are met and team capabilities are developed.
  • Prepare monthly/quarterly reports on the department's asset management in compliance with regulations, ensuring transparency and accuracy.
  • Other Duties: Carry out other duties as reasonably assigned by the Department Head or Management, including providing support to other positions/departments when required, in alignment with professional competencies and the hotel's policies and regulations.

Profile

Knowledge and Experience

  • Diploma in Tourism / Hospitality Management
  • Prior experience in Revenue Management is an asset. Minimum of 2 years of experience as Sales Manager / 3 years of experience as Front Office or Reservations Manager / 2 years of experience in a related field.
  • Excellent reading, writing and oral proficiency in English language.
  • Proficient in MS Excel, Word, & PowerPoint.
  • High degree of professionalism with sound human resources management and business acumen capabilities.
