RF Hardware Engineer

NewBe an early applicant

Location: Warsaw, on-site
Employment: Full-time

Industry: Miltech / Defense

Our client is looking for a hands-on engineer to own the physical build side of their radio-electronic devices - from prototype to working hardware. This is not a schematic-only role: you'll be at the bench soldering, assembling, and tuning RF modules yourself.

About the Role

You'll take RF/microwave devices and modules through the full development cycle — from concept to working prototype. That means building test setups, soldering and assembling boards, running lab measurements, tuning RF paths, and sourcing the components to make it all happen. You'll work closely with PCB designers and firmware engineers, but the hands-on hardware work is yours.

What You'll Do

  • Participate in the full development cycle of RF devices and modules - from idea to prototype

  • Assemble, solder, and tune experimental radio-electronic units

  • Run lab testing, take measurements, and tune RF paths to spec

  • Source, select, and procure RF components, connectors, and materials

  • Work closely with PCB designers and firmware engineers throughout the build

What We're Looking For

  • Technical degree in radio engineering, radiophysics, electronics, or telecommunications

  • 4 + years developing, assembling, debugging, and testing RF/microwave electronic devices

  • Confident hands-on soldering and assembly skills - SMD/BGA components, chips, RF connectors, cable assemblies

  • Real experience with physical assembly, prototyping, breadboarding, and tuning RF blocks and modules

  • Fluent with lab equipment: VNAs, spectrum analyzers, oscilloscopes, signal generators, power meters

  • Able to measure and interpret path parameters - S-parameters, gain, noise figure, P1dB, VSWR, phase noise

  • Familiar with the RF component market (DigiKey, Mouser, Farnell, Arrow, etc.); can find alternates, read datasheets, and build a BOM independently

  • English (working communication)
