RFID Systems Engineer
Summary
Owns the day-to-day health of an RFID system in Doha: advanced diagnostics and root-cause analysis, firmware/configuration maintenance and OEM-coordinated upgrades, preventive maintenance and monitoring, plus documentation and Level-2 mentoring. Core tech: RFID readers, antennas and controllers (FEIG/Oculus) with ITIL-based service management.
- Provide advanced diagnostics at system, application and infrastructure level for the system.
- Carry out root-cause analysis for major and recurring incidents and own the permanent fix.
- Open and manage OEM back-to-back support cases under the same ticket and SLA clock.
- Own configuration, firmware and software maintenance and coordinate manufacturer releases and upgrades.
- Own the preventive-maintennace procedures and predictive monitoring for the system.
- Maintain the design documents, SOPs and knowledge base: mentor and sign off Level-2 competence.
- Provide technical assessments to the Change Advisory Board for changes to the system.
- Maintain readers, antennas and controllers; verify read rates and connectivity; tune performance with the OEM.
Requirements
- FEIG / Oculus RFID product training.
- ITIL Foundation.
- 3+ years relevant experience.
