Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

  1. Do I need to provide my own car or pay a deposit? No, Zap Mobility provides fully equipped electric vehicles (EVs) on a shift-based rental model (standard shifts are 8-12 hours). There is no upfront security deposit required to start.
  2. How do I earn, and what are the working hours? You will work as an independent contractor, driving predominantly on the Bolt platform (earning approximately ₦6,000/hr). You are expected to complete 40-60 hours a week (or 200-240 hours per month) based on your hourly targets.
  3. Can I eventually own the vehicle? Yes! We run a unique model that rewards hard work. After a 3 to 5-month probation period, drivers with consistent records and earnings qualify for our Rent-to-Own track. It takes approximately 4 years of dedicated driving to own the car fully.
  4. Who pays for the EV charging, maintenance, and insurance? We do. Zap Mobility manages all fleet maintenance and provides standard daily mileage and battery/charging allowances for your shift. We also cover insurance, though a driver "crash fund" applies in the event of an accident.
